10 Months Old!!!

Luke turned 10 months old yesterday. He has such a personality, usually full of laughs and giggles and the occasional mischief. Yesterday I witnessed an attitude filled temper tantrum. He wanted the bottle of diaper rash cream but it is small enough for him to shove it in his mouth so I wouldn't let him have it. He started stomping, jumping up and down, and of course screaming. Which brings me to this month's accomplishments...

1)He stands all by himself without holding onto anything for support.

2) He has started taking a few steps (Yay!) before he falls...and he will walk just fine on his own if he has someone's finger to hold onto (must be a mental thing).

3)He smiles for pictures (he is such a ham).

4) He wants what we are eating...I have to make him eat at least a jar of baby food just to make sure he gets enough to eat.

Anddd my favorite...

5) He gives kisses!!!!

Beach Baby:)

We went on a family vacation to South Padre and had so much fun! Luke was so good even though his schedule was thrown off. He is just a happy little boy:) Here comes the picture avalanche...

Who could resist that smile? Seriously who?
Luke and his cousin Ashlee. Look how tan she is...I'm jealous.
My Mom was nice enough to let me and Mike go out on a baby-free date

Here was our view...
This is all it takes to melt my heart...

We have been going to this condo since I was a baby and we have almost the exact same picture of my Mom holding me.
Bath time is now splash time
The most exciting thing of all...he stands for long periods of time on his own and started taking a couple of steps.
I love sunsets.
Luke and his cousin Britt viewed from a smudgy window.
I took this picture of Mike while we were out at sea fishing.

"Ohhhh Mama what is this stuff?"
"I kind of like this!"

"Here...I'll pose for you so you can get a good shot."
"This is so fun!"

Beautiful Sky
Luke on the car ride up...he was so good! He didn't fuss one time.

9 Months

Dear Luke,

Your 9 month birthday has now come and gone and I am sorry I am just now taking the time to sit down and write you:) As I have said before, the fact that you are already 9 months scares me. Let me explain why. 9 months has flown by at the speed of a jet plane. We are almost to that year mark were I technically don't have a "baby" anymore. That is a lie you will always be my baby. You will be my baby when you are in your terrible twos. You will be my baby when you are a 5 year old and testing my patience. You will be my baby when you are having babies of your own. I feel like we were just waking up at 11,2,5,7,etc every night and I still listen for your cry in the middle of the night before remembering you won't wake until morning. I still have to remind myself to fill your bottles up to 6 ounces instead of the 2 ounces you used to drink. I still try to squeeze you into too small clothes and tear up when I have to put them away. I love, love how you are growing into an opinionated, funny little boy but I am afraid of missing something as these stages get put behind us. Please do Mommy a favor and let me cradle you like a baby every now and then instead of squirming in my arms. Please let me savor these times because you have made Mommy and Daddy the happiest people in the world. I love you forever and for always my sweet boy.

Love,
Mommy

Beautiful Boy

"Beautiful Boy"

Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful, beautiful Boy

Close your eyes,
Have no fear,
The monster's gone,
He's on the run
And your mummy's here.

Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful, beautiful Boy,
Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful, beautiful Boy.

Before you go to sleep,
Say a little prayer,
Every day in every way,
It's getting better and better,

Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful, beautiful Boy (Beautiful boy),
Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful, beautiful Boy.

Out on the ocean, sailing away
I can hardly wait
To see you come of age
But I guess we'll both just have to be patient
Cause it's a long way to go,
A hard row to hoe
Yes it's a long way to go,
But in the meantime...

Before you cross the street,
Take my hand,
Life is just what happens to you while you're busy making other plans...

A Plethora of Pictures

I have been slacking on my picture duty so you are about to see an overload:)

Wish List Wednesday

A beautiful, cozy master bedroom with that view.

Hardwood floors...I love how they look and they seem like they would be easier to clean. Right now with Luke so young and falling all the time I feel more comfortable with carpet.

A lawn with thick green grass would be nice.

We would love a deck. We like to entertain so a deck would be lovely.
